I would like to see a photo that was taken by a passenger of the Carnival sensations penthouse suite after the january 2009 renovations. The photos that are shown on most sites are the ones that Carnival shows on their site, but I called carnival and they told me that those pictures are for "illustrative purposes" only. Anyone have some pictures?
Answer :
Go to CruiseCritic.com, click on "Boards", then "Carnival Cruise Lines" and post your question there - or do a search on that board on "Sensation Penthouse" or somesuch. These boards have input from experienced cruisers - someone is sure to have the info you need.

Hi guys is there minigolf on the carnival sensation?
going on a cruise for christmas. the carnival sensation was newly refurbished after katrina. i heard there is now minigolf. if you have been on it and know how is it? how many holes and is it free to play? thanks guys.
Answer :
I know the Carnival Fantasy has it (could not keep my boy off it;)and that they are trying to fit the other Fantasy class ship with it as well I'm not sure what the other ships that have it will be.
Answer :
Go to the carnival website and look at the boat specs. That'll give you a list of everything.
http://www.carnival.com/Ship_Detail.aspx?shipCode=SE
Answer :
No, there's no mini golf on that boat. If I'm not mistaken, Carnival does not have mini golf on their ships. I know Royal Caribbean does on some of their newer ships.
Answer :
I'm currently planning a Carnival cruise and have their latest fleet brochure in front of me - let me look at for you. . . . .
According to the deck plans, Carnival built 8 identical sister ships at one time in their history; Fantasy, Ecstasy, Sensation, Fascination, Imagination, Elation, Inspiration, & Paradise. These were probably all built in the early to mid 1990s - I say that because it's before the put balconies on their ships. On these ships, only the Penthouse Suites have balconies.
I've been on the Inspiration but don't recall a mini golf course - and, according to the deck plans, they do not show one.
Sorry.

Are teens allowed to get spa treatment on the Carnival Sensation?
And tips about scuba diving and other fun stuff as well! And duty free shopping? And i play piano,do u think they would let me play or do they have pros to play in the dining area? Tell me about your cruise experience...!
Answer :
Teens are allowed. They even have spa specials for the teen clubs, however if you are under 16 you might need a parent or guardian to go with you. Check on carnival.com to read their rules.
Yes, the ships all have lots of shops and they charge it all to your sail & sign card. I don't know about taxes (the website might mention it though). Contact the cruiseline if you really need to know and can't find it on their website.
I'm not sure about the piano playing. You should ask though, it won't hurt you.
My cruise was awesome =)
Some tips..
Read the itinerary (they give you one every day, called carnival capers) and do research, so your cruise won't go to waste. That way you'll know all the activities going on and won't miss out on anything you wanted to do.
If you are a teen that is travelling without other kids your age, I suggest you go to the teen clubs (Circle C for 12-14 year olds, Club 02 for 15-17 year olds) to meet other teens, if you want someone to hang out with. It's best to go on the first night, as they get closer as the cruise progresses, and people joining near the end probably feel left out. I went and had an amazing time. The club also has lots of activities and games. It's free, by the way.
Don't waste all your time in the pools or hot tubs. You probably have pools at home too, and it's a waste of money to spend your entire time in one on the cruise.
They will charge you for beverages. Some are free, however sodas, other beverages, and alcoholic drinks are really expensive. If you plan on drinking a lot of soda, get a Fountain Fun card. That way, you get unlimited soda and won't be charged for each one. The price of the card depends on the length of your cruise.
Sign up for your shore excursions (like scuba diving) before you board the ship. You can still do it on board, but it's a first come first serve basis and they might be full, so if you really want to go, sign up on carnival.com so that you're guarateed to go. Waiting until the day of the excursion is a bad idea, as they might not have anymore room for you.
If you plan on going to the top of the ship at night, it gets really windy.
Have fun on your cruise =)
Answer :
I haven't been on that exact ship, but the Carnival cruise line is very laid back and will definatly let you get certain spa treatments. Also- there are spa treatments certain days that are just for teens! Check it out early in the cruise and book the ones you like before they fill up! For scuba diving- you need to be scuba certified (you take a class and get a scuba diving license) -but other than that you'll be fine if you have one. They probly won't let you play in the main dining areas, though a lot of times there is a talent show (or something of the sort) and they may let you play then. You may also want to check their website for more information on the cruise (carnivalcruise.com)
Try to be very social and make friends to make your cruise more fun!
email me at beachxbabe127@yahoo.com for more questions!!
Answer :
im so excited to go on my carnival cruise next april. (just had to say that first lol)
ok well where are you going? im guessing since u said scuba its somewhere hot.
heres the deal with that, To go scuba diving you NEED a cerificate saying you went through all the schooling you need to be a certified scubaER...
the one im going on has the option of scuba and snorkeling (obviously no comparison)....but then i saw NEW added to the excursions and it was called snuba. i was like ok wtf?
its actually a new option where you dont need your certificate for scuba because your not holding a tank on your back. You have air coming through a line to you from the boat (or w/e it is) above you while your in the water so its the same!!!
look for that option. and GL with that.
also piano i dont think so.
dining-they have different dining options about when you eat and what u eat so its not like chicken nuggets. you wont eat the same thing twice.
good luck on your cruise!!! have fun thats all that matters!!!

What could you wear to cover ur body on a Carnival sensation water slide?
I need to cover myself and i was thinking of a rash guard. would they accept that?
But I need to cover for religious reasons. and if you could just answer my question that would be nice. THANX!!
Answer :
I'm very sorry I do not remember the name of the company, but there is one that specializes in swimsuits for the ladies whose religions require being covered up! I saw their catalogue once, and they really looked good, and were said to be very comfortable, too. I believe the company was established particularly to meet the requirements for Muslim women. I hope you can do an internet search and find it -- perhaps beginning with the religion site? I am absolutely certain that Land's End is NOT the one you want, but the people who answer their 800 phone number are exceedingly helpful and may be able to refer you. Land's End is easily found on the internet -- just tap in "Land's End" -- and will have the 800 number. Best of luck, and have a great trip!
